DirectSeat policies
Terms of Use
These terms explain how DirectSeat works and the responsibilities that apply when you use the service, publish a profile, or book a meeting.
Last updated October 9, 2026
1. The DirectSeat service
DirectSeat provides a platform where people can publish expert profiles and where customers can find and book paid one-to-one video meetings. DirectSeat provides the discovery, scheduling, account, and payment-related features described on the site. The expert and customer are responsible for the content and conduct of their meeting.
A profile, verification badge, rating, or listing does not guarantee a particular result, qualification, availability, or quality of advice. DirectSeat does not provide the professional advice offered by an expert and does not replace your own evaluation of an expert or their advice.
2. Accounts and profile information
You must provide accurate information, keep your sign-in details secure, and use your account only for yourself. You are responsible for activity carried out through your account. Tell us through the contact page if you believe someone has accessed it without permission.
If you publish an expert profile, keep its biography, expertise, availability, pricing, and linked social accounts accurate and up to date. You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to post profile text, images, links, and other material. Profile information and links you choose to publish may be visible to visitors.
3. Bookings, payments, and cancellations
Booking prices and available times are shown before payment. Booking payments are processed through PayPal in US dollars. A booking is subject to the availability and payment confirmation shown by the service. PayPal also handles the recurring payment for the optional Verified Pro membership, currently displayed as $100 per month. That membership renews automatically until you cancel it through PayPal; its current status and benefits are shown in your account.
Either meeting participant can cancel an upcoming meeting through the account. For a paid meeting, the current cancellation process sends the refund for review. A customer cancellation is calculated with a 5% processing fee deducted from the refund amount. If an expert cancels, the customer refund is calculated for the full booking fee and the expert is charged a 5% fee against future earnings. A refund is not complete just because a cancellation was submitted; its status is shown in the service as it is processed.
You can reschedule an eligible upcoming meeting through the service, subject to the available times displayed. Check the booking and cancellation status in your account and contact us through DirectSeat contact if a payment or booking needs attention.
4. Appropriate use
You agree not to use DirectSeat to:
- break the law, threaten or harass another person, or misrepresent your identity;
- publish content you do not have permission to use or that violates another person’s rights;
- interfere with the service, accounts, bookings, payments, or security controls; or
- use the service to arrange unlawful, deceptive, or harmful activity.
We may restrict or suspend access when needed to address misuse, protect users, or maintain the service.
5. Availability and changes
We may change or discontinue site features as DirectSeat develops. We work to keep the service available, but cannot promise uninterrupted or error-free access. We will post updated terms here with a revised date. Please review the current version when you use DirectSeat.
